Thought Adjuster: “One of the most important lessons to be learned in this life is the mastery of one’s mind. The purity of thought is a great victory for human life and an achievement that has inevitable repercussions in other areas of life, both spiritual and material. Part of the problem is that people in this world carry a lot of "baggage" in their minds—a lot of weight that adds no value to their lives and instead creates obstacles and limitations that do not truly exist.

Many of your thought patterns have originated from your culture, from the thought patterns of those who influenced your mental life during your childhood and even during adulthood. Everyone, in some way, exhibits a bit of "groupthink" that leads them to adopt the ideas, beliefs, and expectations of others as if they were their own, without taking the time to reflect on why they think that way, or whether these ideas are truly valid and useful for their lives.

Independent thinking is a skill you must learn to cultivate. Question everything you hear from others. But how will you know how to separate the wheat from the chaff? How can you know which ideas have value and which are simply fossilized and unrealistic ways of thinking? This is why you have the help and guidance of the Spirit of Truth and, above all, the presence of God within you— your Thought Adjuster.

All thoughts and ideas that have value for human life have one fundamental characteristic in common: they are all expressions of elevated love—love for your fellow beings or yourselves. All thoughts that are of eternal value possess three attributes: truth, beauty, and goodness. Any thought lacking one of these attributes is not a valuable thought.

It is in your mind where each of you creates your life and your reality and it is in your mind where each of you decides your destiny and builds your salvation. If you fill your mind with thoughts of love, truth, beauty, and goodness, these will be the things that manifest in your reality, for your world, and all of creation. The age of light and life on your planet will begin in the minds and hearts of its inhabitants. Begin the age of light and life in your mind and your heart, and Urantia will have taken one more step toward the achievement of this glorious goal.”
