Wisdom for the Week

Wisdom for the Week

By Kate Spreckley

Posted on May 19, 2024

The energetic atmosphere at present feels heavy and thick reminding us of the importance of staying grounded, balane and centered.  Especially as we move deeper inot the week and towards next week's New Moon.

Astrologically we have the Sun moving in Gemini tomorrow and Saturn, the planet that serves our foundation, preparing to enter into Aries on the 24th.  Whenever Saturn changes signs it is significant as it is one of the bigger planets supporting major transitions, transformations and changes.  As such, we may feel as though something is coming to an end making this a period where we are encouraged to integrate all that we have experienced, learnt and discovered to date.

Saturn in Aries generates a greater need for us to take responsibility for ourselves, our lives, and our actions.  It asks us to develop better discipline while also learning to discern when action is needed and surrendering to the flow is required.

This is a time where we are being asked to see past our current ability to perceive and to see that there is a vast interconnected world where events are being orchestrated in divine order.  It may be challenging to fully grasp and yet we must trust that no matter what conditions in the world reflect, there is something greater occuring.

The forces of heaven and earth are aligning to bring about signficant transformation and change.  This is not the time to push against it or to resist.  Focus on solutions rather than problems.  Let go of the idea that suffering is necessary.  Open your heart and look beyond current conditions to see the beauty of healing and growth that is being offered to you.

Sunday Webinar

In this Sunday's webinar I will once again channel a meditation to support us and then dive into the energies for guidance, insight and inspiration for the week's ahead.

With much love

Wisdm for the Week

Wisdom for the Week

By Kate Spreckley

Posted on April 29, 2024

As we continue to be powerfully activated to change, evolve, grow and shift an entirely new way of living and being is being offered.  Yesterday's New Moon has gifted us with fresh energy and an opportunity to focus on new life, new growth and the seeds of new potential that are arising within us.

The energies are intense as they guide us to awaken, release and to expand beyond who we have been.  Through this period we are urged to face our fears, release our inner limitatioins and reposition ourselves within our soul.  For many, the intensity is triggered deep survival instincts.  We are being called to shift our of survival, to move beyoond simply getting through, and to embrace the unknown with trust and courage.

The unexpected is not something to fear, but something to welcome and embrace as it holds to the key to our growth.  Be mindful that you are learning that you can not only survive these changes but thrive within them.

You may feel some heaviness and tension with these energies as they encourage and push us toward deeper embodiment and presence.  Acknowledge and allow a renewal and a deepening of your ability to feel both physically and emotionally.  Observe and release the patterns that are keeping you stagnant while navigating your soul's need to transform, and your ego's need to remain attached to what is familar and what is perceived as comfortable.

For me personally I am moving through the grief of lossing my father and taking time to process the resulting emotions.  I will be taking the week off to attend to all that needs attending but will be back seeing clients next week.  If you are looking for support and your guidance you can book your session HERE.

I had to postpone the Shift in Consciousness masterclass last Saturday and will be hosting the class this Saturday May 3rd.  If you haven't already signed up you can do so by clicking on the button below for more details.

Wishing you all a week of ease and grace

Much love,

Kate

Wisdom for the Week

Wisdom for the Week

The energies this week shift with Mars, the planet of action, life force and motivation, stationing direct.  Mars has been retrograde since December slowing us down and giving us space to turn inward to observe how we are choosing to express ourselves in the world.  As it stations direct we are urged to respond mindfully to all that is unfolding rather than react unconsciously.

Much of this week will see the energies building towards the Pisces New Moon on the 27th.  The energy of this New Moon will take us into March and the first elcipse season of the year.  March promises to be one of the most powerful months of 2025 and we can expect this New Moon to activate us in preparation.

As we move towards the New Moon, we are being asked to pause, reflect and reset.  The old is falling away, but the new is yet to fully emerge.  This space in between may feel uncertain, even uncomfortable, but it is a powerful opportunity to realign with our deepest soul desires.

New Moons are about beginnings, which requires endings.  What are you ready to release?  What beliefs, patterns, or fears no longer serve your path?  The more you let go, the more space you create for what needs to arrive.

Take time this week to slow down.  Breathe.  Listen to your soul.  The energy is shifting and so are you.  A new cycle is beginning.  Step into it with clarity, purpose and an open heart.

If you are feeling stuck, unsure or needing realignment and or guidance this is the perfect time to go deeper.  A one-on-one session with me can help you gain clarity, release what's holding you back, and step into this new cycle with purpose and confidence.  Book a session and lets navigate this time together. Click on the button below for more information and to book your session.

Wishing you a week of ease and grace!

Much love

The Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year

By Dr Schavi M Ali

Posted on January 31, 2025

Each year there is a “Lunar New Year” which begins at the time when the New Moon is closest to the mid-point between the Winter Solstice and the Vernal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.

Today, Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, is the “Lunar New Year of the Snake”.

Each new year is represented by a specific animal.

The symbolism of the snake is calmness and introspection.

Some people celebrate the “Lunar New Year” for three days and some for longer periods of time. However, everyone in the Asian nations are most festive on the first day, and many other nationalities around the world enjoy celebrating too.

The actions that are taught to do are to clean the house the day before which includes washing any laundry, preparing red envelopes with money in them to be given to children and teenagers, decorating the house with colorful lanterns, and making sure that sweet smells are in the house coming from either incense or hot water on the stove into which has been placed cinnamon and nutmeg.

The main color worn is red which symbolizes love, good luck, and wealth.

Those persons with a fire place light it to represent transformational energy and loving warmth.

On the evening before or on the evening of the “Lunar New Year”, people set-off fireworks.

Color wise, in Bharata (India), brides wear red on their wedding day.

The symbolism of the color red is very interesting when in most of the Western world, being “in the red” is when finances are low while being “in the black” is when finances are good.

A red traffic light indicates “Stop!” for a driver or a pedestrian. Thus, every nation has its own belief system relative to color energy.

Scientifically, certain colors hold various chemical contents.

For example, red vibrates to antimony, cadmium, hydrogen, manganese, potassium, radon, gallium, krypton, neon, and yttrium.

Orange contains boron, calcium, copper, helium, selenium, silicon, xenon, and aluminum. Thus, when we wear or eat particular foods, we are receiving certain chemical components.

Further information on colors known as “Chromotherapy” (the science of how colors increase our health and assist in the re-programming of DNA) can be found in the research of Dr. Marcella Von Harting and Dr. G.I. Bergstrom who authored the text entitled CHRONOBIOTIC NUTRITION.

The “Lunar New Year” is a specific time when particular nationalities are celebrative, but it is actually a major point in the cosmos to which all people can relate.

A “New Moon” pulls upon the Earth just as a “Full Moon” does, although a “Full Moon” has a greater pull.

During a “New Moon” is the time to write-out your needs and desires for the next thirty days, but a “Lunar New Year Moon” is when an entire year can be focused upon — from now until about this time next year.

So, if you did not do so last night, spend some time today “planting” your “seeds” in writing for the next year.

Do this not just for yourself but for the entire planet. Consider giving a special gift to someone today, wearing some red, and having a special festive meal.

Our Moon in Tropical Aquarius is in alignment with our Sun in Aquarius and Pluto in Aquarius — quite a line-up by sign.

Also, the hole in our Sun’s corona earlier reported has enlarged and is directly facing Earth, and its energy is expected to launch-off with geomagnetic storming due to large flares, increased solar winds, and CMEs by January 31st or February 1st.

The cosmos is non-stop in its messages. As humanity elevates in awareness, the messages will be understood more readily.

As of today, dense proton plasma is pressing into the planetary magnetosphere; there was an “M.2-Class” solar flare last evening (EST) and a low “C.2-Class” flare early this morning.

Thus far, solar winds are slightly above 350 km/s and are thus in normal ranges.

As has been often expressed, we are in a roller coaster ride in terms of cosmic energetics.

Stay in DIVINE FLOW.

The New Moon in Aquarius (Uranus stations Direct)

The New Moon in Aquarius

(Uranus stations Direct)

Astrology By Lauren

Democracy just cannot flourish amid fear. Liberty cannot bloom amid hate. Justice cannot take root amid rage. America must get to work. In the chill climate in which we live, we must go against the prevailing wind. We must dissent from the indifference. We must dissent from the apathy. We must dissent from the fear, the hatred and the mistrust. We must dissent from a nation that has buried its head in the sand, waiting in vain for the needs of its poor, its elderly, and its sick to disappear and just blow away. We must dissent from a government that has left its young without jobs, education or hope. We must dissent from the poverty of vision and the absence of moral leadership. We must dissent because America can do better, because America has no choice but to do better.~ Thurgood Marshall (1992)

Whenever the great Lord Jupiter stations, the planet of Big Vision, High Hopes and grand expectations, it is accompanied by a trine to the Sun. This brings a resurgence of confidence and hope, a rekindling of the heart, reminding us of what this journey is all about in the end: the things that matter. This year Jupiter will make its direct station on February 4th, but before it does so it makes its trine to the Sun right after the New Moon in Aquarius, on January 29th (7:36 am here on the East Coast of the United States; 4:36 am on the West Coast and 12:36 pm in Greenwich time). And how timely this all is.

Just as we are all grasping for that one glimmer of hope, that last vestige of goodness, here the New Moon arrives escorted by the grand planet of benevolent optimism. It almost seems as if it is here to remind us of what our vision for the future was, and what we need to do to revive it. Back in April Jupiter made a conjunction to Uranus (the modern ruling planet of Aquarius) at approximately 22º of Taurus, instilling the seeds for some sort of vision for the future that would allow you to reframe your life in a way that might work best for you, and make your life better.

Jupiter and Uranus would move on. Jupiter entered Gemini. They both stationed retrograde. And now both are stationing Direct. One day after the New Moon in Aquarius, Aquarius-ruler Uranus ends its retrograde and stations direct at 23º Taurus, just 1 degree from the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction last year in April. It’s as if both of these planets are reminding us of the seeds that had been planted way back when, and are now ready to germinate, sprout and grow.

During the 5 months that Uranus has been in its retrograde phase we’ve been processing and making all sorts of inner adjustments, in service to that vision for the future, or in order to bring us more in alignment with our highest ideals and aspirations. And all of those internal changes that have been taking place, all of those seeds have been incubating. And now, due to a series of surprises, challenges, twists and turns, we have all been compelled to either adjust to a whole new way of being, or to recommit to those values, to those ideals, that we would like to see promoted in the world at large, and in our own lives. This is about walking the walk, as well as talking the talk.

The Saturn/Pluto semi-square is exact on the 26th, so we should not come into this carrying any illusions. We are being shown precisely how things are. Whether or not we choose to face the truth of the challenges we are being faced with, or to escape into a world of delusion is entirely up to us. But there are forces operating here, that are much larger than any one individual. And we are all going to be choosing our place on the new playing board that is being laid out before us. And the one gift we are being given this week, is the gift of hope.

The Aquarius New Moon is a moon of stark awarenesses, of new realizations, and all of the adjustments that must occur, all the ramifications of whatever changes have already happened. Nothing remains hidden long with this New Moon in Aquarius.

New Moons set the tone for new beginnings. And the New Moon in Aquarius fills us with the intention to seek the freedom to live our lives more truly and authentically. What that will actually be will become even more evident over the months ahead. But to recognize what that is for each of us is essential, and will serve as your lodestar moving forward, and commit to that. Even if that means having to stand out and be separate. Even if that means having the courage to be a paragon of the change we wish to see in the world.

This is the day each year that we are given permission to fully appreciate that which is special and unique about each and every one of us, and to wear it as a badge of honor. The Aquarius New Moon corresponds with the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. According to the Chinese Astrological Pantheon, we are entering the year of the Wood Snake, which begins on January 29th and culminates with the Lantern Festival at the Full Moon on February 12th. May we use the Snake Wisdom of the Lunar New Year to guide us in all of our choices.

This is an excellent and fortuitous Moon to make intentions with. If you choose to do so, make intentions or affirmations after the New Moon on January 29th (7:30 am EST; 4:30 am PST; 12:30 pm GMT) up to the Crescent Moon on February 1st. Make them clear. Make them your own, and in your own words.

Some possible intentions or affirmations for the New Moon in Aquarius might be:

  • Today is the first day of the rest of my life, may I live it truly and authentically.

  • I dare to walk my own path, following my own unique vision.

  • I am able to see solutions when I am willing to look at a problem from another perspective.

  • May I be open to new and innovative solutions that can help me remove the obstacles standing in my way.

  • I want all fear of being different or standing out from others be lifted from me.

  • I vow to uphold the noble aspiration to defend equality and promote civil rights unconditionally.

  • When I surround myself with others who share similar ideals, I find myself even more motivated and inspired to do good works.
