Thought Adjuster: “The human mind, with its great capacity for imagination, was for many years the primary source of entertainment for individuals. The mental exploration of ideas, the search for answers to questions of eternal value, and creative impulses are part of the natural way in which the human mind uses its "free" time.
The majority of this world’s population is losing the ability to keep their minds in a productive state — a state that promotes balanced mental health and, as a result, a life free of those false needs that are so common in the minds of today’s human beings. Many work to satisfy their true physical needs, but the vast majority work to fulfill needs that are not truly important to human life. Among these are the constant demands to be entertained.
When used correctly, the human mind can provide everything a person truly needs. It is through the mind that we find the way to meet the real needs of human life. It is also through our mind that a human being can choose contact with the presence of God within, and thus transcend limitations and glimpse eternity.
This is the secret to living once again with growing hope and with the anticipation that each new day brings the possibility of a deeper understanding of truth and reality—when the mind has contact with the source of all wisdom. It is then that activities which once seemed routine become opportunities to discover new things about yourself and your Heavenly Father. This is how a human mind gradually opens to an ever greater and more complete reality, making life a constant adventure of discovery—an adventure that will have no end in eternity.”
