Samuel: “It is often said that things happen in threes, although we might now easily claim that things happen in sixes and sevens. It has been a busy time for you and I had to pick my moment to be able to speak with you, advise you and acknowledge your efforts during the last four weeks and more.

“It may well seem to you that people in difficulty appear in ‘bunches’ to descend on you in small groups as if in your rush and trouble to heal them you are being taught to organize yourself anew. They are random events as you might well know, although there are factors that on rare occasions will ‘bunch up’ these people that request their healings. Consider, was it something you said, was it the misery of drab weather, a mere coincidence? Does the cause actually matter?

“You have your oft-voiced doubts that life on an evolutionary world is somewhat of a mistake — an un-thought-through decision made by an underling of quite low spiritual standing or by a tough-minded Melchizedek expecting all things to sort themselves out as they — those self same Melchizedek brothers — sort themselves out. However, to consider such a thing is a mistake . . . Life on an evolutionary world is meant to be rugged but fair, somewhat harsh but not impossible, taxing but never deadly. I, Samuel of Panoptia, lived on such a world and it could be rather rugged, still fair, even harsh and sometimes taxing, but that was Panoptia, not Urantia, uh, uh.

“The rebellion struck Urantia at an awkward time — during your formative years — and the absolute worst of times when we on Panoptia were advanced enough and could turn our backs on and ignore our Planetary Prince and stay true to Michael. They were difficult times for us, but we learned how near-to-impossible life on Urantia was. And I remember learning how desperate the situation had become on your world, and forgive me, I at times wished to share with you all your life on your planet.

George: “Someone I know rather well calls them ‘brownie points’. You were after brownie points, yes?”

Samuel: “I call it wishful thinking and you know that since you are human and have needs and wants and ‘imaginings’ to suit, you do have wishful thoughts, like, ‘what if I were in a better position. How much more good could I do for my fellow men, for Michael and how much better could I serve the Father? OK, brownie points to you, my student.

“For fully seventy years you have known that you would somehow be serving Michael and, fine, it was not very clear to you in those early days, but you lived with the trust that you would. And yet, how often did that thought come to mind, ‘If only . . .’

“For me there were many ‘if only’s’ and they were mostly about my imagining ‘having dwelt’ on your planet in the Master’s time, but mostly I considered myself to have been so fortunate as to have been born on Panoptia. I plead with you, yes all of you, not to lose sight of how fortunate you all are to have been born on your planet. Life can be harsh for you, but when you do well, you will be deserving of the very best rewards in the here-after.

“I am Samuel the Panoptian. Good day to you all.”

Bzutu: “We are Urantia Midwayers, known for our patience, ever-lasting friendships and our willingness to travel halfway across the planet to greet old friends and ‘touch’ them when they need us. It is not so that you can ask us for information, randomly, whenever it suits you or when there is no need to know . . . and still get and answer. In this instance I asked what I should do and I was told it was up to me, that I knew the rules and that I was entrusted to live by them.

“So here now I ask you to put your mind back in time and recall having been written by many of those who had been contacted by us with the 11:11 wake-up call sign, or some such numbers and who henceforth believed themselves to be reincarnated. I dare not forget that Urantia Homo Sapiens is truly the most confused biped in the local universe.

“Aha! Our human brother is not so old and forgetful that he forgot how he denied being the reincarnation of ‘a certain Teacher Samuel.’ What a shock it was for him to hear himself say, ‘I am Samuel of Panoptia.’ What an eye-opener when he learned there were many mostly invisible Teachers beyond his horde of Midwayer friends. You, incidentally and through your antics, brought much laughter to our existence. Much fun was had during those long years of our regular association.

“Think back now over all those years — from 1972 until today — and how many recipients of time prompts believed themselves to be Apostles, Melchizedeks or even Christ Michaels reincarnated or reborn. We are so glad you put them wise. Unaccustomed to the workings of transmitted messages, they took the voices of their potential Teachers as their own.

“Here I digress, my friend, to note that the sudden ability to give rise to the presence of a Teacher, to utter the voice of a Teacher, does not necessarily mean for that person to become a receiver of celestial messages. It may or more likely may not be. Sometimes it is just a stage in life, important in a subconscious way, but not at all meant to be a regular occurrence. Take this to heart. I am ABC-22. Goodnight. We love you both.”

Receiver’s note: Shortly after I found the Urantia Book in the 1990s I requested to learn about its production. I was shown a group of three people. Most of the light was on a woman dressed in white, likely Christy, seated and doing her shorthand task. Behind her and in the dark, presumably stood Dr. Sadler and on a massage table was the sleeping subject I presumed to be Edgar Cayce.

Teacher Samuel: “. . . it is so, of course, that during a short human lifetime no great magical things can be expected to occur in the sense of a rebellious planet suddenly lifting itself out of its primitive status. And, although miracles abound, they do not generally do so with regard to human progress. Human progress, generally, is quite slow. However, when it comes to your ability to assess at what point of progress your world resides, there exists a surprising factor. Indeed, you have hardly a clue as to the status quo and, in fact, this planet is rather closer to the first notions of the times of Light and Life.”

George: “Are we to see progress? Are we to discover something better arising from this un-needed trade-war mentality? And this ‘I’ll devastate you with my nukes before you know what hit you.’ I hear . . . I’m sure not optimistic. One nuke may well bring other nukes and there may be no stopping it.”

Teacher Samuel: “Become and remain optimistic, my friend and student, I plead with you. Although I have neither hour nor day, neither month nor year to give you, it has been promised to me that the one you know as Monjoronson will be here even as I will still be a teacher on these shores and as for that teaching there are not so many years to go. Become and remain optimistic, my friend and a time will come when you will say: ‘There was this Panoptian teacher of mine who put my mind at ease about the concerns I long had for my children and grandchildren and their friends and their friends and all others.

“Take your mind back now to the glorious vision of Adamson’s village on the shore of Lake Van, the white ‘painted’ dwellings, their entrances all facing east toward the sunrise. See the field of red gravel all around to ensure no wild beast or stealthy rogue cannibal would make a meal of the Adamite, his Nodite bride or any of his precious crew. Remember the Midwayer watchman you saw who overlooked all that. That was ABC-22 and there you saw him only for the third time, but you knew his life-long friend, Andréa was also there. Think of that time so long ago and the abject circumstances under which they labored.

“You are now so much better positioned to see the end of the Correcting Time and the very first glimmer of Light and Life. Among the ‘rebellious’ worlds of Satania, you have done well, as have most. Only your present-day trade war and an unlikely all-out skirmish stand in the way of your Magisterial Son’s arrival.

Subject: “The Tree of Life.”

Message received by George Barnard.

George: “We greet you our dear Samuel and brother Aaron. We tend to think of you and Aaron when it comes to ferreting out something ‘nothing-to-do-with-lessons,’ just plain curiosity. Some years ago — in the early or middle 1997’s — Midwayer Chief Bzutu and I talked about two things during a session about the Urantia Book I remember fairly well.

“My foremost interest was with this Midwayer, who up to that point I had always still seen as an earthbound soul. Now that I had found the Urantia book, I knew more precisely who he was. Had he, basically, without supervision or family, other than his immediate siblings, been behaving himself honorably over all those millenia? He answered my question rather eloquently, saying, ‘There was no law.’ It had been a lengthy ‘do-what-you-think-is-best’ time of endless uncertainties and likely some unfortunate happenings.

“That’s all I ever got from him on that score and truly, what right did I have to insist on further details? He was a model Teacher for at least 35 years by 1997. I asked about Van and Amadon next up and how they could have lived for so many millennia. The Midwayer showed me the image of a bush — a shrub — that’s all it was.

“So there you have the tree of life, some 7’ tall and almost that wide. I honestly don’t recall the shape of its leaves, ovoid, I think, but I’ll not stake my life on that. Over to you, Master.”

Teacher Samuel: “Indeed, my friends, representations of the Tree of Life, if not the real thing, can be found all over the universes. One hardly needs a monkey to climb up high to harvest the leaves. They are easily reached. It is a fast-growing shrub that allows a spacetime body to defy the aging process and the small ovoid leaves carry the medicine that long-staying Celestial visitors to the planets’ and their human co-workers’ need to overcome the ruggedness of spacetime.

“I note your concern about pressing me for revelation, but it should be clear to you that you were given none by me today. You were fully aware of all these facts, just somewhat uncertain. The responsibility for ‘getting it right’ can weigh heavily upon one’s shoulders.

“This is Samuel the Panoptian. Both Aaron and I are proud to be your Teachers.”

Mathew: “You asked for me as a matter of procedure and yes, I’m a lot more often available to you both than are your regular Teachers and even your long-time Midwayer Friends. Clearly, outside of the now-common Midwayer tasks are both, the Damascus Scribe and Samuel of Panoptia. Samuel is right now ‘on the line’, as it’s called.”

Teacher Samuel: “Engineering is a profession of much public responsibility. Imagine you are an engineer and you are to design a bridge or a high-rise office block. The responsibility lies with you in the very first place that the design is sound and, thereafter, that construction makes use of the best materials available. If not properly done, cars may be seen to fall into a river, office workers may be crushed under broken concrete. It is rather a trustworthiness in the engineer everyone is looking for and counting on. So it was with my effort of making an all-round meal out of one special fruit.

“Did I, or we, manage that? No, not completely. Between the Life Carriers and I we failed to ‘load’ any appreciable content of protein into the fruit – a most difficult assignment, I’ll have you know, but we did one thing right. For every step of the way, I proposed to include certain new properties into the mix and then I waited until I heard from the celestial Designers that such was proper and safe. This is not now happening with what you call ‘a film of good-tasting strawberry flavor build around a tasteless chunk of white turnip center’. It may well be that. And, it may herald the disappearance of the natural and organic fruit you once knew and propagated.

“Do not make the mistake of ‘minimising’ my life’s work and successes, but they are only such because I was careful not to move ahead of myself. Seriously, if the local, original plant was to have taken on features of my painfully-slowly engineered fruit, it would only be a plus for birds, mammals and insects that lived on them. The fruit would still be safe. That claim cannot be made for the diverse groups of vegetables and fruits on Urantia that are being so hap-hazardly re-engineered.

“Another matter that I am meant to mention here and now is that if you are allowed to modify food sources in this unrestrained way, you may well end up with merely the rogue end result of your meddling. And, yes, that rogue species and no other. There’s nothing new under the sun, indeed, under any suns and the modification of all aspects of nature and creature is a favored pastime.

“It leaves me here with just one thing to warn you about. Due to your oft-interrupted evolutionary path – a record far beyond what you are allowed to either know or understand here and at this time – the Urantia human’s physical body’s strength is hardly something ‘to write home about’ to any universe center. Other human species are generally much, much stronger than you and rogue species of plants and fruits will likely become detrimential to your health and your longevity as some now already are.

“This is Samuel of Panoptia, your friendly Horticulturist and Teacher.”

Bzutu: “There are times when I feel I should throw my hat in first to see if I’m truly welcome. I see this is not one of those times. In our defense I reiterate that it is almost always possible for us to prejudge for suitability those who are to be contacted by us. I use the term ‘almost,’ as there are times when an individual is confronted with issues that are not anticipated by us. He or she may become fearful, and is then likely to reflect this fear back onto your services as abuse.

“Fear, hatred, anger and jealousy, harbored, implied or expressed, are among the mental states that slow soul growth, and make the human temple a very uncomfortable place for the innately perfect Spark of God to indwell. We do what we can. We have no crystal ball to project each outcome to make each day a winner. I hand you over to your Teacher now.”

Samuel: “When we met up a few days ago, we conversed about the law of attraction, and the fact that it never fails if one wishes for a more spiritual life. No matter how faint it is, such a wish is always granted in some way. Today, I mean to speak about talents, and your talents to heal yourself and others, and as an aside, your tendency to rob yourself of innate talents, which you may well have in abundance. It is so very typical for individuals of nearly all civilizations on this planet to so sell themselves short. Generally, you are considerably more talented than you think you are.

“Specifically, I wish to make mention of what goes into healing of self and others like intent, focus and concentration, visualization, and above all, the invitation to the Spirit that indwells you to, in real time, cooperate with your mind and soul-felt intent and focus to bring about this healing. I ask you if you are a healer, and if your answer is ‘Yes,’ it merely means that you have been successful in cooperating with the Spark of God for It to be able to do Its godly work. I ask you again if you are a healer, and if your answer is ‘No,’ it only means that you have not yet discovered this gift among the many you were granted as a Team.

“Intent, sincere prayer, a positive attitude, and clear visualization are what you bring to this exercise of God-human co-creation. Outright denial of, or a doubtful acceptance of, your gifts’ portfolio are the constraints you impose on your God-Spark Partner. Hardly without consequence are the great efforts of your Midwayer Friends, Destiny Guardians, and Teachers. Overshadowing all are the efforts of the Thought Adjusters as they go about ‘marinating evolution with creation’ in their eternal drive for progress . . . if only you will partner Them.

“I am Samuel the Panoptian. I say Adieu.”

Samuel: “Firstly, my dear friend and student, Aaron and I bring you greetings from friends and family that have embarked on their Mansion World journeys, who think of you and pray for you at least as often as you remember them. As well, we want to make clear about the Teacher groups you named ‘the Mentori’ — the new groups that came into being by Michael’s mandate — so as to not disappoint any celestial who chose to teach on any former rebellious world or any normal Nebadon world in temporary difficulties.

“It is so that many more Teachers qualified than were taken up by our needful worlds and therefore lessons are prepared by groups of five, seven or nine contributors of varied origins and destinies, although just one or two may be their spokespersons. You may refer to them as Teacher Groups or Mentori, although that name was given to them to merely draw you out with questions about the make-up of such groups.

“We carry on now with our given task. We have been asked to cover truth and untruth and in particular the truth when it is untold. Let me first explain that on the Mansion Worlds and on every inhabited planet beyond Mansonia you will be gifted with additional senses. Almost all these new senses will be what you might presently see as psychic senses — an ability to feel what others feel — a capacity to discern another’s wishes or a knack for simply knowing the truth.

“It is right here on this evolutionary planet where many of these budding gifts of increased overall sensitivity may occasionally come to the fore . . . if you will let them. Foremost of these to be discovered and cause embarrasment are at times called the little white lie and instances of the truth when untold.

“On the Mansion Worlds, that sometimes handy little white lie just does not cut it. Every citizen other than the newly arrived has the capacity to see through what on your planet was mostly an innocuous pleasantry. Mansion World citizens are hardly fooled. They possess the additional senses. And one owns up to the white lie, of course.

“A more important matter to get off one’s chest is the truth when still untold. Whenever it is clearly judged to be safe, it is good policy to have one’s heart on one’s sleeve, if only life on the evolutionary planet can be seen as a foretaste of what is eventually to come for all. Indeed, on Mansonia one’s demeanor clearly portrays any number of untold truths you will gladly share.”

Aaron: “Such a different place, such different rules, such different attitudes. Yes, you will carry on where you left off, but you’ll be so much closer to all you will call them ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters.’

“Samuel and I wish you good day.”
