If the joy in things is lost, the longing for GOD arises spontaneously. Don't rush enlightenment! It will come soon enough. Until then, live and enjoy who you are today, here and now – and if you don't enjoy certain characteristics and traits, then eliminate what displeases you and live. It's so easy if you just do it! To live in the light or to dream of a life in the light... What does your soul clock show you? A person in whom GOD is sleeping, or a person in whom GOD has awakened?

Stand in God's way?

JJK: Before I fell asleep and immediately after waking up, the phrase "Live in the light!" was played to me with utmost clarity. This heralded this message, and now I ask myself: "What does it really mean to live in the light?"

After hearing and integrating the message "Stepping into the Light!" during the 136th Light Reading , it's now about living in the light. But how? I reach for a book next to my bed and randomly open this page by Paramahansa Yogananda:

"I have come to describe to you the joy found in God, a joy that each of you can discover on your own initiative—a joy that permeates me every moment of my life.
For He lives with me, He speaks with me, He thinks with me, He plays with me, He guides me on all my paths. 'Lord,' I often say, 'I have no worries; for You are always with me.

I am happy to serve you and to help your children as a humble instrument.
You are responsible for all the people you bring to me—for all the events you send my way.

I do not want to thwart the plans You have for me by harboring personal desires in my heart." (Words of Paramahansa Yogananda, p. 82 ff., Self-Realization Fellowship)

JJK: "To live in the light" by placing ourselves completely in God's hands, to have no "personal desires" so as not to thwart "the plans God has for me." How can this be done when we are full of plans?

Why are we so often told the exact opposite, namely that we should know our desires and that we create abundance ourselves.

What is the answer? What is the key to understanding and living this profound spiritual truth of Paramahansa Yogananda?

The foundation

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL: You are loved, you are honored, and you are sustained by GOD the Creator, who is all. Living in the light begins the day you become aware of your needs and desires, your longing for things and people, your desire for success and abundance.

This is the solid foundation upon which the walls of a house in which Spirit can dwell are built; these are the walls upon which the roof of desirelessness—the highest manifestation of your awakened divine consciousness—can be erected.

A person who lacks this grounded awareness of self, or who continually withdraws from it, can neither stand nor live in the light. Only after a person has completed the work on their foundation—their spiritual base—can their spiritual house be built and the roof of knowledge placed upon the stable masonry.

In today's consciousness work in the grace of GOD, we will focus on how you can live in the light in your everyday life. What does it mean not to stand in the way of GOD with your own needs and desires, and what is necessary to put this insight into practice?

Do you need a master for this, or can you master it yourself? We'll get to the bottom of these questions today, here and now.

It all starts with…

Beloved person,

Everything begins with a first step. Never take the second step before the first, or the third step before the second.

Everything begins with the first thought, the first feeling, the first action. This is how people travel through their lives, spreading their wings at the right time, when the time has come for the next step in their development.

Not taking the second step before the first means seeing and accepting what is now showing itself to you, working with it and living with it. 

Do you have desires and needs? Live them instead of suppressing them. Accept them and realize yourself by first acknowledging what is. Because only a person who knows their needs and desires can one day give them up. What do you want to give up if you neither know nor have ever lived what you want to give up?

Cloud 7 or shadow work?

Many spiritual seekers soar to cloud nine, erecting a spiritual roof without walls, and building walls on sandy ground without a solid foundation. Thus, disappointment is inevitable. Hastily withdrawing from earthly life without ever having lived always leads to disillusionment and frustration.

The reason why so many spiritual lightworkers leave their path after years and return to the dense plane of this matrix is ​​simply because they declare themselves to be light and love without having redeemed their own shadows. Those who walk through their shadows stand in the light, not those who avoid them.

Neglected shadow work eventually catches up with a person and so ends the dream of a spiritual life, of awakening and enlightenment.

What happens is that widespread spiritual concepts seduce people into simple spiritual solutions. Little importance is given to the foundational spiritual work. As a result, people cannot be reached from anywhere, because for a long time they don't recognize themselves as needy.

As long as the “everything is light and love illusion” works its magic, there is nothing for such a person to see and nothing to recognize.

Only when people's concepts are subjected to a reality test does the actual process begin - and for people who have no practice in working with themselves and their shadows, this is an insurmountable hurdle.

In this way, many people leave the spiritual path and only return to it when they are satiated or disappointed by the "special offers for enlightenment," so that they want to put enough energy into their own shadow and light work. Because:

Without resolving fundamental issues, a departure from the spiritual path is inevitable. The only key to preventing this is to live authentically from within!

To do this, you need to compare your actual ability to love with reality – to see your own truth, to know your own status and to make changes if necessary, to penetrate to your true self-worth and to perceive your place on earth.

Only a truthful perspective can achieve this. Illusions delay, prevent, and thwart your awakening. Therefore, your humanity is paramount!

Savor the human element!

Anyone who wishes to experience the divine and their own divinity must savor, love, and live the human condition. This is the fastest path to God, the most direct way to ultimately place everything—one's worries and happiness—in God's hands.

Do you want to live with God, penetrate to God, accept God as your only true Guru?

First, penetrate into yourself, try to live with yourself and accept the reflections that God sends you as your Guru throughout your life.

Nowhere do you encounter GOD more directly than in your everyday life! Life is your master; your everyday life is full of opportunities, whether realized or missed, because GOD encounters you in many images on your path to mastery. Why it's important for you throughout your life: to know yourself before you can know GOD, because only one who has understood himself can grasp God.

In this way, it is important to give food to the hungry and drink to the thirsty. Only when these basic needs are met can a person open themselves to the divine. "Never second guess the first" means recognizing what is manifesting in your life NOW and responding accordingly.

If you master your lessons, life's abundance will richly reward you. Living the light means living what you are now! There is neither a better nor a worse version of you. What exists is what you are now.

If shadows exist, embrace and love them instead of ignoring or repressing them. This is how you move toward spiritual maturity. You have the choice to reap unripe spiritual fruit or wait for your soul's maturity. Why it works: Live your life with the light you are now, with the love you can give now – free from wishful thinking and without conceit!

Nothing can be forced on the spiritual path; everything is given as soon as the person is mature and ready – and until then: live your life and tend the garden of the soul so that the harvest will be a rich one.

JJK: That's so beautiful and so powerful. Do I understand that correctly: having desires, admitting them to yourself, and manifesting them until you lose interest in them on your own...

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL: Exactly, Jahn!

One day, everything will fall away on its own! If it doesn't fall away, then you have to wait for it to mature. What hasn't yet been lived must be lived; what still wants to be experienced must be experienced! There is no shortcut on the path to GOD unless you are willing to give up EVERYTHING in a single moment.

What many people try to get rid of through either self-mortification or self-denial—akin to spiritual torture—is never crowned with success. Because nothing, absolutely nothing, happens before its time!

Your everyday life is full of events that show you where you really stand, and often it is not where you like to see yourself.

Denying it is useless, negating it is pointless, ignoring it is a waste of time. No matter where you flee, your thoughts always catch up with you; no matter where you travel, you always travel with yourself.

Do you want to live in the light? What's holding you back? Is it yourself or the world around you? The answer to this question determines the degree of your realization.

JJK: The world around us isn't exactly a pleasant place to be in many areas right now. What keeps building up is this war energy, instead of peace finally prevailing globally. What influence does the external world have on our inner development?

Correct focus

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL: The outer world has a great influence on keeping you from a light-filled perception once you allow it to do so by constantly focusing on the negative.

Just as you should show yourself truthfully when looking within, so too should you practice looking without. This means giving the highest potential just as much chance as the lowest potential of possible futures. What makes this possible is keeping your focus on the light without ignoring the dark. Wars are only an option if the people who wage them allow themselves to be drawn into them and if they fall for the propaganda. There is a completely different option – that of peace – and the more it is nurtured by the individual, the more realistic the scenario becomes that those who plan wars will have to do without soldiers. 

Inner healing work is therefore of paramount importance! Only when a person has given up "waging war" against themselves, against their own spiritual and vital human needs, will everything change on the outside.

Peace begins within you!

Is peace your inner reality? What are you now? Where do you want to develop and unfold?

What have you achieved, and what is just an illusion? So I ask you: Do you live in peace with your fellow human beings and with yourself?

If that's the case, then you've graduated; if it's not, then there's still work to be done – so simple, so clear, so healing for humanity and the world. War or peace? Everything begins within you! That's the answer.

JJK: Self-reflection, shadow work, and consciously using your own energy in a light-filled way—it's a process that takes place step by step... 

 ARCHANGEL MICHAEL: The idea of ​​many spiritual adepts is that to live in the light means to present oneself with a smiling face or with flattering words and to make oneself heard through prefabricated, spiritual phrases.

This “parrot mentality” is often original, but rarely truly profound, as it lacks personal experience.

Anyone who has walked through their own shadows knows what light shines within and what this transmission is talking about.

Not those who say, “I am the light and the love,” reach the state of desirelessness, but only those who have learned to love and live their desires are freed from them.

Beloved, please take some time for yourself and reflect on your life:

• Are you being YOU?
• Are you living YOUR life?
• Do YOU ​​know your needs and desires?
• Is truthfulness, especially when it concerns YOU, your best friend?
• Do YOU ​​want to see what is, in order to become what YOU are!

What is my life? 

JJK: “What is my life?” some people might now ponder? 

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL: The answers you give to everyday reflections are your life. Thus, the circle closes. What you are reflects your life, and what you will ultimately become lies hidden in the answers you give to the reflections.  

The healing of this message in summary: Humans are born, are lost, and return to their origins. This journey from eternity holds great insights and leads a person through the unconditional acceptance of their human needs and desires. Only when these needs and desires are fulfilled can they be renounced.

No one would think of fasting when they're hungry. Likewise, it's ill-advised to give up on basic needs before you've lived and experienced them. This is part of this game, part of your incarnations, where you become more and more satisfied life after life, and one day, all by itself, everything will fall away. Then you can no longer stand in God's way—YOUR needs are HIS needs, and HIS needs are YOUR needs.

If you are one with God, then everything you are is one with God. There is no longer any separation between you and Him.

The only question is: Where are you NOW? Is your spiritual foundation solid and are the walls strong enough to support the roof?

JJK: Yogananda says, “To find God is a joy that each of you can discover on your own initiative…” What is meant by “on your own initiative” ?

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL: If the joy in things is lost, the longing for GOD will arise naturally. Don't rush enlightenment! It will come soon enough. Until then, live and enjoy who you are today, here and now—and if you don't enjoy certain characteristics and traits, then eliminate what displeases you and live. It's so simple if you just do it!
